The Giving Guide

The types of items we are accepting are dependant on the specific instance, so PLEASE CHECK THE DONATION ASK PER EVENT!

Clothes

Clothes must be CLEAN, and in GOOD CONDITION

This means NO stains or holes, foul odors, pet hair, or excessive pilling. It helps us a lot if you lint roll your items before giving them to us!

We will not accept underwear or socks unless they are brand new or unused, either with tags on in the original box. Bras and undershirts are OK, but subject to the general clothes requirements. We WILL accept swimsuits as well.

Physical Media

Books

Books must have intact binding, no missing pages, and be legible all the way through. We will accept books with annotations but will NOT accept books with marks covering the text, black and white books that have been colored in, or with tearing.

DVDs,CDs,Cassettes

DVDs and CDs MUST have an intact case, (not a sleeve!) whether it be a jewel case or otherwise, and clearly labeled.

We will not accept discs with scratching, scuffmarks, visible rot, or cracks. DVD, CD, and cassette donations are subject to accountability wherein we will check the condition of the donations and let you know if we can take them.

Electronics

We accept electronics in working condition. In order for us to consider an electronic donation, it must turn on. If it doesn't turn on, we won't take it. Please charge or put batteries in electronic donations.

Electronic donations must be included with the needed cord and/or battery needed to operate it. We will test electronic donations on site, and they will also utilize our accountability system.

Home Goods

Home goods must be clean. This means no rust, mold, scuffing, dirt, foul odor, food, coffee grounds, or stains.

Items like pressure pots must have thier lid and cord. Similary, we will not take incomplete appliances (e.g., milk frother with handle broken off, kettle missing lid)
